Join us for our residential riding holidays, which take place throughout July and August. Spend 5 days with your favorite pony! Children from all over the UK come to our Pony Camps, where they have the fantastic opportunity to try out various equestrian sports and enhance their riding and horsemanship skills. Visit our Children's Summer Camps page for more information.
During our training sessions and rally days, children have the opportunity to work at their own pace towards earning Pony Club achievement badges. The Pony Club Achievement Badge Scheme is an engaging way for children to expand their knowledge of horsemanship and the countryside. On the first Saturday of each month, participants can select which badge they would like to be tested on and reserve a spot in the badge testing session. With over 50 badges and 20 mini-badges available, there is a wide variety of topics to explore.
The list below provides an overview of the badges that are offered and the topics covered.
https://pcuk.org/achievement-badges/
These are awarded to Members who have studied a variety of topics on pony care and the environment. The circular fabric badges are designed to be sewn onto Branch or Centre sweatshirts. On gaining 21 achievement badges, a gold badge and certificate can be awarded.
Each member progresses at their own pace towards achieving the various Pony Club Tests and badges.
Tests for each level are conducted regularly once a sufficient number of members have reached the required standard.
As children work towards meeting the standards for D, D+, C, and C+, they have the opportunity to earn bronze, silver, gold, and platinum certificates in riding and horsemanship as they enhance their skills.
These are intended to assess riding and horse and pony care.
Our mission is to inspire and empower young individuals to embrace the world of horseback riding and all the sports associated with it. We aim to cultivate a nurturing community where young riders can forge friendships, engage in social events, and hone their teamwork and leadership abilities.
Through our programs, we strive to educate our members on riding techniques, horsemanship, and the proper care and understanding of their equine companions. Our curriculum encompasses both practical skills and theoretical knowledge, covering topics such as horse health, nutrition, management, riding proficiency, and road safety.
We are dedicated to instilling the values of sportsmanship, citizenship, and loyalty in our members, fostering the development of strong character and self-discipline. Safety is paramount in all equestrian activities, and we emphasize the importance of responsible and respectful behavior toward horses and other animals.
Our organization provides opportunities for members to participate in competitions, earn badges, and progress through proficiency levels. We encourage our members to set personal goals and strive to reach their full potential, supporting them every step of the way.
